Little Missouri Fly Fishing
The nearby Little Missouri river teems with rainbow trout much of the year with Permanent and Seasonal Catch & Release Areas providing excellent sport and quality fish through the summer and fall!
In 1950, the completion of Narrows Dam created Lake Greeson and the cold-water trout fishery below it. Since 1970, Jeff Guerin has been fishing, and more recently, guiding and teaching fly fishers on the Little Missouri River.
For ten years Guerin operated Clearwaters Rod & Fly Shop in Shreveport, LA but decided in 1998 to relocate to Murfreesboro to guide fly fishers in search of the river's rainbows.
The best time of year to come here and land a quantity of fish is from January through May. The quality fish can be found throughout the summer and well into fall. But, be forwarned, those fish are most challenging!
Jeff provides casting lessons, schools and guide services. Wading gear and extra rods are available for first timers wanting to get a taste of the fly fishing experience.
